Refreshing in London
mccarthyinteriors have completed the extensive washroom refurbishment to a prominent Conference Suite building near Hyde Park in London.
The clean and striking looks of the completed wash rooms was a key design request in the clients brief.
mccarthyinteriors managed the project from initial design ideas and CAD visuals through to final budget analysis, programming and delivery. The building remained 'live' throughout the works and mccarthyinteriors worked closely with the client to minimise any potential disruptions to delegates using the conference rooms.
mccarthyinteriors are proud to have completed the works on time, on budget and with no disruptions to our clients delegates utilising the conferencing facilities during the project.
A second phase of works is currently being negotiated to commence in the New Year.

Sound Brief
Flexible
Client brief - Create the perfect meeting space which is Flexible, multi-functional, large, small, light, comfortable and sound resilient.
The beauty of the finished article for our client in Birmingham hides the design and build undertaken 'behind the scenes' including the latest technologies in above ceiling acoustic baffling to creating a be-spoke structural braced steel 'goalpost' within the existing pitched roof to support the high acoustic rated bi-fold wall system.
To maintain aesthetics the partitions are a double glazed seamless system with double glazed full high doors tested to provide high sound resistant values.
Suspended ceilings commonly have poor sound ratings, to combat this mccarthyinteriors installed acoustic baffling above the ceiling included encasing light fittings and installing special baffles to the air conditioning and ventilation.
The key to the brief was flexibility. Having the bi-fold wall in place divides the space into two separate good sized acoustically encased meeting rooms, when folded back the space becomes a large conference room, presentation or training room.
Satisfied brief, happy client.

Sound Looks
New meeting room suite
As part of our clients 10,000sq.ft refurbishment scope mccarthyinteriors installed high quality seamless double glazed partitioning system to create an airy but highly acoustically rated meeting rooms suite.
mccarthyinteriors challenge was to provide a solution that had a striking ultra-modern look, was practical and most importantly reduced sound travel between rooms to a minimum.
Insulation baffles were installed below the raised floor and a new to market high performance form of acoustic tile was installed above the suspended ceiling. Combined with acoustically tested glass partitions and full height double glazed doors to maintain the visual appeal the solution meet criteria and client satisfaction.
